RVSM Approval Status Audit
It is a process of collection, verification, consolidation, processing and availability of information from the records of aircraft approved for operations in the RVSM Airspace. It is a work performed periodically aiming at Operational Safety. The main objective of the audit process is to identify aircraft which have flown in the RVSM Airspace without proper approval, and share this information with the Civil Aviation Authorities and other Regional Monitoring Agencies around the world.
In the audit process, if any aircraft is identified as unapproved, CARSAMMA contacts the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) of the corresponding region; this AAC verifies if the aircraft really has no approval; in this case, it is up to the AAC to take the appropriate actions with the operator; if there is documentation with the proper approval, the AAC sends the document to CARSAMMA, which updates its database with the information received.
The F2 form is the document provided by the AAC of each State, which formalizes the RVSM certification of the aircraft with the RMA, giving it the status of approved to fly in the RVSM Airspace.
The F3 form, in turn, is the document that cancels the aircraft's RVSM approved status.
CARSAMMA is currently testing the electronic format of these forms, also available on our Portal.
